I have been teaching Violin and Viola for over 25 years, mainly in the private school system and from my private studio in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I am available for lessons on weekday afternoons and evenings and all day Saturday. Individual tuition in Theory and Musicianship is also available. I encourage students to prepare for exams but this is by no means mandatory. I provide Theory and Musicianship classes, usually on Saturday afternoons but weekday afternoons are also possible, depending on the availability of a minimum of 4 students per class. These groups usually rehearse on Saturday afternoons but weekday afternoons are also possible, depending on student availability. I offer students the opportunity to play in small string ensembles - quartets and trios. I am also experienced at preparing students for VCE Solo Music Performance in both Violin and Viola. I prepare students for exams from elementary to diploma levels in Violin and Viola and to Grade 6 level in Musicianship and Music Theory but I am also happy to assist students to play purely for their own pleasure. I thrive on the challenge that every student presents to me and enjoy teaching students of all ages, levels and abilities. (more).
