Sustainable house designs for stylish and coming generations. With over two dozen awards to our name, we combine great value outcomes with superior practice sustainable building design. We progress an Eco agenda through our practice we designed Australia’s first 10 star rated relocatable home while ensuring every project is unique and led by our clients’ needs. From unpretentious beginnings as husbandandwife duo, Mara Design has grown to a team of seven with offices in both Melbourne and Brisbane. The studio specialisms in lofty slick Eco and energy efficient homes built to concise and budget with creativity, a practical candor approach, and a singular dedication to creating the superior conceivable outcomes for every client and every project. Sven is actively involved in the building design community as a member of the Committee of Management for the Building Designers' Association (BDAV) of Victoria. He regularly presents to professionals and advocates for Eco homes design to the broader community. Together with Sven, Sunrise established Mara Design and has been instrumental in the growth of the practice through her studies in business, PR and marketing. Currently undertaking further studies in interior design and managing the couple’s young family, Sunrise nonetheless remains a vital part of Mara’s preceding and vogue success. Matt completed his Bachelor of Architecture in 1994 and became a registered architect in 1995. He is a senior architect at Mara, running projects from design concept correct through to completion, and working directly with clients through each project. Matt has high smooth submissive solar design knowledge alongside his extensive architecture skills. Before to joining Mara, Matt worked on a range of projects from small house extensions to important multiuse developments, hotels, and apartment buildings for some of Australia and Asia’s largest architecture firms. Holly is a trained building designer with a Bachelor in Environmental Studies. Since moving from her hometown in the north of England, and joining Mara Design, Holly now assists the design team with project detailing and documentation making sure each project has the tall smooth polish it needs to ensure a level construct process and a quality finish. Holly is instrumental in researching new products, systems and materials for the practice her recent ups killing, for example, has cemented her deposit as office guru in backwater treatment facilities! Starting life on a farm kindled his love for design and the environment developing in him an enduring attention to detail and innate clever abilities. Cameron shares the Mara philosophy that appropriate design impacts positively on our physical and mental health, our sense of healthy being, and that it can connect us better to each other and our environment. At Mara his time is dedicated to documenting projects to ensure that each design concept is brought to life accurately and efficiently.
