This offer is not to be worn in conjunction with any other offers including group bookings and or discount vouchers. Rock Climbing is a vast activity for all the family during the school holidays. Children lower 11 may climb, but cannot undertake the safety labor (belaying) at the base of the climb, and must be accompanied by an mature to assist them. To lead climb at Hardrock we require all climbers and delayers to com plate a Lead Climbing Assessment. Lead Assessments need to be booked in advance and are available: Note that we expect leaders to have a tall slick of competence, so please only attempt the Assessment if you are already an experienced lead climber. You will get the maximum out of our venues if you arrive along with someone to belay you. Note that they do not have to also climb if they do not wish to ('Belay Only' entry is 6 and delayers must wear a climbing harness). Groups When you book as a group, we require you to complete a group activity form, this saves you time and gets your group on the walls faster. We recommend that if you have a important group of people (of any age) you should book in advance and take advantage of discounted prices that we donate for group bookings. If parents wish to be involved, our instructors will teach them how to do the safety rope work (belaying) and they can be apart of the Birthday Party Fun. The entire activity runs for up to 2 hours and includes all climbing gear required (harness and climbing shoes) and an instruction at the first of the session by Hardrock Instructors. For schools wanting to be invoiced a Purchase Order Number is needed to whole your booking. O Participants must attend all training sessions additional self directed sessions are recommended. Release gear hire (during training sessions only). An experienced instructor will teach participants the basics of rock climbing, including how to belay (hold the ropes of other climbers) and will offer tips on how to improve your climbing in a fun and safe environment. Hire equipment including harness, climbing shoes and chalk bag is included in the cost of the course. Climbers will learn all they need to know for sound and enjoyable lead climbing and belaying from an experienced instructor. On completion of the course participants will have the opportunity to attempt their 'Hardrock Lead Climbing Assessment', which allows them to precede climb and belay at Hardrock. If you are fresh to climbing and impartial want to offer it a go we suggest participating in our Beginners Course rather than a Private Instruction (as much of the session would be taken up going through our Safety Instruction training for beginning time visitors rather than receiving one on one coaching). Hardrock offers different membership options for use within our climbing gyms. The cost per person includes entry, group instruction, climbing harness climbing shoe hire. Cubs Brownie group bookings run for 1.5 hours and the cost per person includes entry, group instruction, climbing harness hire and climbing shoe hire. The activity is for a complete of 2 hours (including instruction time), and again includes all the gear required to undertake this activity.
