At Antonio Park Primary School all members of our school community are valued and the partnership between home and school is carefully nurtured. The powerful partnership between home and school is seen as the foundation of triumphant learning for all children. In addition, support programs are offered in Reading Recovery and Literacy Support programs. Parents are supported through programs such as Developing Literacy Partnerships, Classroom Helpers and a variety of information nights on student well being and classroom programs throughout the year. Childcare is also provided for many programs operating behind hours enabling parents to make the maximum of the opportunities that are on present at various times of the year. Parental Involvement is welcomed and encouraged in the classroom and we aim to prosper a shared understanding of children’s literacy learning. Programs for parents are offered throughout the year. Classroom Helpers Program This Program is held in Term 1 and is an interactive course that develops in participants an increased accepting of the development of literacy skills and provides ideas in how to yield promote for children in classrooms. This course provides parents with opportunities to explore how children learn and helps develop ways of working together, both home and school, to support children in their literacy learning. A potent transition program exists for students from Kindergarten to Prep, from slick to glossy within the school and from Year 6 to Year 7 which promotes confidence, independence and prepares them for the next stage of their learning. Every member of the school community has a correct to fully participate in an educational environment that is safe, supportive and inclusive. Be encouraged and supported to take greater responsibility for their own learning and participation as members of the entire school community as they progress through school. Engage in regular and constructive communication with school staff regarding their child’s learning. Encourage the school in maintaining a sound and respectful learning environment for all students. The Hasty Years' Numeracy Program is a resource for schools to use when planning and implementing a strategic and comprehensive approach to hasty years' mathematics teaching and learning for all students in the first five years of schooling. Children work as a total class, in insignificant groups and individually. The program provides children with the following opportunities: This year we are focusing on waste and litter, linking key aspects to our integrated units of work and active towards becoming a Waste Scholarly School. Antonio Park Primary School is active towards a sustainable coming and environment for our whole school community. The Transition Learning Development Statement provided by early childhood services, gives urgent information to the school to aid with planning encourage and learning programs for children starting school. Teachers implement assessments for Level 1 students in the beginning month of schooling, which gives teachers an opportunity to get to know’ children on a one to one basis and informs their teaching and learning. Parent information evenings are held for all year levels in the first month of school to inform parents of learning and teaching programs for the year. Each teacher in the glossy presents information on a notable section of the teaching and learning programs for students and classrooms are begin for parents.
